Jewel Escrow, a name synonymous with trust and security, was founded in 2008 during the height of the sub-prime mortgage meltdown by Certified Senior Escrow Officer Sandee McMahon, the daughter of a real estate broker and LAFD firefighter. Growing up in the industry and having over 35 years of experience in escrow, Sandee identified a need for a reliable and trustworthy escrow company that would guide clients through the often-complicated process of buying and selling assets.

From the start, Jewel Escrow differentiated itself by providing excellent customer service and a secure platform for clients' funds and assets. This approach helped the company grow year over year, and soon it became one of the top-rated and grossing escrow offices in the Southland.

In late 2020, Sandee decided to step away from ownership and sold Jewel Escrow to her son, Ryan McMahon. Ryan, who had been working at Jewel Escrow for several years, was familiar with the company's culture and operations. Since taking the helm in early 2021, Ryan has made it his sole focus to maintain the culture and groundwork laid by his mother, while looking for opportunities to improve our clients' experience and expand our service offerings. To achieve this, he dove headfirst into testing and developing new and emerging solutions. This helped us shape our tech-forward, proprietary closing experience into what it is today. With Ryan's leadership combined with the guidance of our leadership team (which still includes Sandee), Jewel Escrow continues to be a trusted and reliable partner for clients in the Southland and beyond.
